Introduction to the poem:
A poem I made when I was 15, it has cultural influences from contemporary music. The poem is essentially about the deception of love is some industries.
Love for Work
You say that you love me, I don’t know if it’s true,
I lie in a dark abyss, my eyes asphyxiated on you.
The lights have come alive, blue dances tonight.
Love is the singularity, as my own existence.
My disposition sits there, disengaged
It functions differently, I am solipsistic now.
My mind has turned into an opera, as figures act.
the dramatic irony, a silent Broadway, 'Oh, Victor Hugo!'
I love it how you dance, love has chained me to you
A chain of my own purpose wrapped around you.
She dances around me, while - a theatre of convicts are still around,
They bleed their compunctions on to my mind.
the cherry-cruel lips, a slave onto you.
You don’t love me do you! I wont hurt you!
Love is a burden, transcending time,
My love saws a space through space and rhyme.
When I close my eyes
There is a colourful shade of you,
You have burnt yourself, onto my mind, forever.
